The story of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in now legendary. Founded in 1970,
the winery was thrust into the spotlight when a bottle of the 1973
Cabernet Sauvignon from the Stag's Leap Vineyard won the now-famous 1976 Paris
Tasting, triumphing over some of France's greatest wines. We now bring their structured and elegantly

Notes
The estate vineyard brings spicy peach, guava
and grapefruit notes to the mix while the Rancho Chimiles Sauvignon grapes lend
racy citrus, tropical fruit and mineral notes to the wine. Our long-time grower
Terry Wilson farms Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Musque at Rancho Chimiles for
this wine. The juice was fermented at cool temperatures in a mix of neutral
French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged on light lees
for six and a half months, providing some roundness to the wine's texture.

Winemaker's Notes
This graceful Chardonnay opens with aromas of
peach, yellow apple, spice and a pleasing sweet cream vanilla note. The wine
has a soft entry with citrus and light honey notes that lead to a lingering
sweet lemon finish. There is a nice balance to the acidity and minerality that
enhances the freshness and elegance of this wine. Try pairing this
medium-bodied Chardonnay with grilled whole fish with lemons and capers, seared
scallops drizzled with lemon-infused olive oil, or roast chicken.
