I was bitten by a dog, and the swelling seems quite severe.
I've been on antibiotics for a day, but I'm wondering if I should continue to monitor it.
Would it be better to get an antibiotic shot?
I contacted my primary care doctor, and they advised that the bitten area doesn't look good, so I should go to the emergency room and get a shot.

I was bitten by a dog , and my swelling seems to be severe.
I took antibiotics yesterday /It's been a day since I took antibiotics.
I am just wondering if I need to check the swollen area for any changes.
Should I get an injection?/Is it better to get a shot?
I was able to contact my primary care doctor, and she/he told me to
get an antibiotic shot in the ER since my dog bite wound doesn't look good.
